Non-profit organization founded by “The Fladgate Partnership” (Taylor's Port, Fonseca, Croft, The Yeatman, World of Wine, as well as other companies and brands). The Porto Protocol is a global movement that shares practical knowledge to enable the wine industry to act to mitigate climate change and promote sustainability. Founded by Taylor's Port, it was born from the conviction that, if you work together, sharing successes, failures and experiences, you can achieve systemic change and create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the wine industry. The movement feeds an open and dynamic platform of solutions and resources, consisting of more than 250 members, spread over 5 continents, 20 countries across the entire wine value chain. The Port Protocol is a key result of the “Climate Change Leadership - Solutions for the Wine Industry” conferences, a commitment on the part of all participants to adopt and promote the principles and measures established at the top, signing the Letter of Principles for the Porto Protocol.
