Position yourself in the market with a legal form That you represent a clear ethical position.

• Building community, placing people (together with living beings and habitat) before economic interests.

description

Valli Unite is not only a workplace, but also a space where you share meals, interests, non-working time and, often, even your home (or your research).

Values are shared, rediscussed together every about 5 years, to make sure that every person who takes over the path feels their own and embodies them: we read and debate starting from the Statute. In fact, in their charter of values today, 2025, we read:

Social commitment is: desire for comparison, consistency and balance, with a sense of responsibility. Through moments of encounter, discussion and listening, with the aim of creating actions that enhance and support the choices made together.

Sharing is: Sociality and mutual aid to reach a meeting point, respecting differences and skills, through listening and trusting everyone.

Not being a group of people held together by only economic interests and purposes, the cooperative has demonstrated over the years that it is capable of overcoming any economic crises, thanks to the strength of relationships (created and maintained daily), the horizontal management structure and the ability to question and adapt to transformations.

Generational changes, a critical issue for every cooperative, are addressed with openness, competence and patience, aware of the difficulties and long transition times and become moments of collective growth precisely because there are solid relational foundations at the base. To animate and nourish the community, there is also membership in the “World wide Opportunities on Organic Farms” (WWOOF) movement, through which several young people experience in United Valleys, sharing rural everyday life and learning sustainable agricultural techniques.

considerazioni di ricerca

Limits to consider

• The principle of sharing (and horizontal organization) makes processes and strategic choices very slow.

Potential

• An economy based on sharing and community creation is close to the values of the civil economy (which considers the market a place of reciprocity and human relationships) and can concretely support a type of sustainable development.

• The relationship and comparison between people ensures that the sensitivities and abilities of each* are put at a common factor, thus increasing the sensitivity and skills of the entire group.

description

Founded in the 70s by Ottavio Rube, Enrico Boveri and Cesare Berutti, Valli Unite is an agricultural cooperative that is based on a lifestyle in harmony with nature, with particular attention to healthy food, the place where you live and the people who populate this land. It stems from the desire to subvert the system that, at that time, forced people to leave their land uncultivated; and this is how this reality has grown exponentially thanks to many people who have united over time and who share its vision and values, laying the foundations for a place that continuously seeks a balance between tradition and innovation. Valli Unite is: restaurant, apartments, agricamping, production of wine (about 120 thousand bottles/year), honey, cold cuts, cereals and vegetables.
