VEGEA® is an innovative material characterized by a high content of vegetable, renewable and recycled raw materials: grape waste from vinification, vegetable oils and natural fibers from agriculture. VEGEA® is the combination of Vegan-VEG and GEA-Mother Earth, which identifies the next generation of alternatives to materials completely derived from oil and animals.
The Vegea “wineleather” It is produced thanks to a special treatment of the fibers and oils contained in the pomace, a totally natural material, consisting of grape skins, seeds and stems deriving from wine production.
It is produced in Italy by the Italian company Vegea S.r.l. without the aid of solvents toxic to the environment or human health.

The VEGEA company was founded in Milan in 2016, with the aim of promoting the integration between chemistry and agriculture through the development of new environmentally sustainable products. Develop plant-based alternatives to fully synthetic and petroleum-derived materials. By relying on the use of renewable resources, as an alternative to non-renewable fossil ones, their production processes are based on vegetable and recycled raw materials.
